GALIPOS (Typeface)

Typography

Galipos is a display typeface inspired by Andalusian society and culture, in its present, but emphasizing its history and its past. Galipos seeks to represent the struggle of the people, the union and the brotherhood of a society marked by its historical marginalization with respect to the rest of Spain. Considered a land of vagrants, thugs and partiers, Galipos comes to reflect the toughest, fighter and hardworking side of the Andalusian peoples. For the forgotten, for the marginalized, for the judged and mistreated.

With more than 600 glyphs, with Latin and Cyrillic alphabets, uppercase, lowercase, OpenType features, ligatures, numbers, symbols and diacritics. And also styled in italics with other OpenType features and ligatures added.
